SQTA Easter Trial Cancelled
Written by Ian Rogers
Wednesday, 01 April 2015 08:37

It's with much regret that I have to inform you that due to the heavy overnight rain experienced at Canungra last night we reluctantly have had to cancel our Easter Trial scheduled for this weekend.  This being arguably out best wet weather accessable property makes the decision that much harder but alas it would seem that the wet Easter weather cycle has done it again.  Don't despair, we will reschedule and have a mid year Easter Soiree instead now.  We have far too many Bunnies to get rid of not to have a re run!

Our next event is now a liitle over 3 weeks away.

The Easter Bunny is only 6 of sleeps away and that means it's Glenmaggie week! Oakleigh Club helpers have been out at Glenmaggie setting up the property and we've got a ripper weekend planned. There's got plenty of great sections set and we've put in an order for perfect trials weather with mother nature.

Riders from all states (and 1 territory) are making the pilgramige to this iconic property that keeps deliverying every year. There is creeks, logs rocks, hills and plenty of in between to clean out those 2 stroke exhausts!

If you haven't sent your entry in yet, we are extending pre-entries for Glenmaggie until Thursday Evening at the absolute latest. Here's the deal though, if you pay for your entry via Bank Transfer and email your entry in to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it we can pre-enter you for this event.

Good internet is sketchy at Glenmaggie, so pre-entries must close Thursday evening!

With our first event of 2015 cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, for this event we were lucky to have cool weather, making a very enjoyable day of Trialsport. The property was in good shape and yielded many good sections designed by the LRMTC crew. Connor Hogan set for a huge 2015

Connor Hogan is getting set for a huge season in 2015. Once again Connor will be riding under “Team H” banner in 2015 aboard his brand new 2015 Gas Gas Pro 125cc “Racing” Model. The team have an exciting schedule this season competing not only around Australia but also in Europe. Connor will compete at the 2015 EM Youth Trials Championships. This series is held over 3 rounds; Italy (April 11), Belgium (August 15) & Switzerland (August 22). The series is for riders under the age of 16 as of the 1st January and would be the last year that Connor would be eligible to compete.

Back in Australia the big event of the year that Connor’s main focus will be the Australian Trial Championship which is going to be held in late August at Pacific Park, Connor will be competing in either the Junior or Youth Category. Connor’s season in South Australia will be somewhat disturbed by his trips to Europe which will make it unlikely for him to defend his SA T.R.O.Y Series or
SA “Star” Award. However he intends to compete in the Victorian Moto Trials Series, Queensland Moto Trials Title and the SA Moto Trials Championship.

Connor has scheduled 10 South Australian events, 3 overseas events and 5 interstate events which is going to be a full on season, but hopefully with reward!
