LRMTC/SQTA Open Invitational Clubday
Written by Ian Rogers
Friday, 12 September 2014 07:30

Logan River Moto-Trials Club (LRMTC) and the Southern Queensland Trials Association (SQTA) are jointly promoting an open invitational trial to be held at the Gap Creek Farm Off Road Motorcycle Park on September 21.  Both clubs have clear mission statements proactively promoting Moto-Trials here in the South East and as a way of fostering this philosophy the event is open to anyone, regardless of your political persuasion, looking for a relaxed yet competitive and inexpensive ride on the weekend.  It is also a great opportunity for any non-affiliate rider who may have been sitting on the fence trying to justify the expense of a first time one off ride to come and have a go for a fraction of the cost.

Oakleigh Motorcycle Club rider Zac Mularczyk accepts handover of a new “2014 Beta 2T 250 factory model” from Principal Sponsor Matthew Hannaford.

Not only does Zac gets provided with the new 2014 Beta 250 and various training programs but this also means Zac can pass onto his nearly acquired skills to other younger riders.

Two weeks later at Sedgwick (September 27th & 28th) is the State championships again riding the A grade class followed by the National titles at Mt Joy in Tasmania riding the youth class.

Overseas rides swell the Ranks
Written by Matt Langtree
Saturday, 06 September 2014 18:32

2014-world-round-g2fToday's opening day of the final round of the 2014 FIM Trial World Championship and the second round of the 2014 Women’s Trial World Championship will see a bumper entry of eighty-nine riders consisting of both male and female competitors attempting the sections situated close to the Spanish town of Arnedo. Both championships are pleased to welcome riders from America, Australia and New Zealand alongside their more regular contenders, with the overseas visitors taking the opportunity to ride in this weekend’s double-header Trial GP ahead of next weekend’s FIM Trial des Nations event in Andorra.

With the exception of the World Pro class, the other categories all include overseas representatives. In the FIM Trial World Cup division Kyle Middleton - GasGas, Chris Bayles - GasGas, Colin Zarczynski - GasGas and Tim Coleman - Beta will be wearing the green and gold proudly. Bryan Roper – Sherco and Andrew Putt – Sherco are flying the flag for team USA, whilst Jacob Gundry – JTG and Blake Fox – Sherco will be up holding the honours for New Zealand in the FIM 125 Trial Cup field. However it is amongst the Women where there is the biggest overseas contingent making their presence felt with no less than six riders from America, New Zealand and Australia collectively who are swelling the ranks to create the largest female entry of the season to date. Brooke Lonie - GasGas and Ina Halls - Beta will represent Australia in the Women's Trial World Championship.

Although all the overseas riders will have one eye on next weekend’s team competition, they will also be keen to make their long trip's worthwhile and to make their mark over the next two days too.

Good luck to our Aussie riders competing in the Trial World Championship and 2014 Women's Trial World Championship this weekend!
