gg-crewThere was a really great showing of Gas Gas Trials riders at Round 1 of the Australian Enduro X Championships held in Brisbane this last weekend.

Superb performances from the girls with Kristie McKinnon 2nd and Rhianna Buchan 4th in the Final (Kristie also won her qualify race)

And great riding from James Boyle and JJ Chellas both on Gas Gas Trials bikes in what was not a Trials friendly course. It was super fast and not that technical placing the odds with the Enduro stalwarts rather than the Rockhoppers. Northern NSW brothers Karl and Mitch Hellyar also gave the course a good shake on their JTG' anf Gas Gas respectively.

2012-logo-fim-BLANCAs we start to put together the final planning and logistics for the event together we now need a number of volunteers to give up a bit of time to ensure that this event starts off the 2014 Trial World Championships season in a spectacular fashion and that all our spectators have a fantastic experience over the weekend. All volunteers are covered by insurance for the event but the requirement is that they be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Volunteer jobs include:

  • Ticket Sales (Friday only at Bill Woodfull reserve)
  • Podium assistants for the start and scoreboard (Sat & Sun)
  • Score card runners for the end of each lap (Sat & Sun)

[WTC Australia] World Trial shaping up to be bigger and better

bigger-and-betterThe 2014 event is shaping up to be even bigger and better than 2012.

Our major sponsor KTM is donating a Freeride 250, which will be won by some lucky spectator for simply buying an entry ticket to the event. Also Jack Field will be strutting his stuff at the ‘Paddock’ over the weekend and of course the ever popular last section will be constructed on the edge of the football field for all to enjoy.

This year we have decided to offer free entry to the ‘Paddock’ (Bill Woodfull Reserve) in the heart of Maldon. This will enable people to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of the event even if they are unable to visit the main body of competitive sections on Mt Tarrengower.
