Trials Club of Victoria hosted Round 1 of the Victorian Trial Series at Sunny Sedgwick on Sunday. A great opener to the series with fantastic Trial weather.

A short lineup of Experts and a homeground advantage saw Montesa Australia 4RT rider Scott Owen (44 points) stick it to interstate rival Adrian Harry (83 points) from South Australia in the Expert line. B grade was a close race with Brook Lonie and Jacob Whitle both on 23 points and a count back of cleans (30 Lonie vs 26 Whittle). Third place went to David McDonald who jumped to B grade at the start of the year.

Masters went to a countback with Phil Lewis (25 cleans) besting Ken Cook (24 cleans) both on 29 points. Newcomer to C+ Josh Coleman (35 cleans, 1x1s) edged out the seasoned C+ rider Scott Stephenson (35 cleans, 0x1s) both on 12 points.

Clubperson was an all Oakleigh rider affair with Marcus Walker (19 points) first on his Mountain Goat Scorpa, Chas Rechner (21 points) second and Brett Mackley (32 points) third.
