ECHO bikes dominate once again.The 2013 MTBA Australian Observed Trials Championships were held on Saturday 23^rd February at the Stromlo Forest mountain bike complex. A strong field of Trials riders from throughout Australia descended upon the nations capital for this years championships, which were held in conjunction with the Downhill and Cross country championships. The trials course consisted of a variety of man made and natural obstacles – many still in place from the World Championships, which were held in the same location in 2009.

Motorcycling Australia (MA) is calling for applications from Riders and a Team Manager to be part of the Australian team for the 2013 Trial des Nations (TdN), to be held in La Chatre, France from 8-9 September 2013.

The Coonabarabran Club will be holding its first trial of the year at Brian Thomas's property at Nicole Place in Moore Creek, nr Tamworth, on Sunday 17th March. We are hoping for larger numbers this year to keep the club viable into the future. Start time will be 10am, with signing on and club memberships available from 9am. This year we are offering a premium membership of $200 up front, with no more to pay throughout the year, to help with our insurance premium. Annual membership is available at $40 per family, with an entry fee of $30 per trial. We are holding a Come and Try Day on Sunday 3rd March at Queensland Moto Park 10am - 1pm.

Participants who have never held a licence before will receive a FREE Come and Try Day licence to cover the day, and also have the opportunity to apply for a free Annual Recreational Licence or a discounted full Annual Licence.

Preparations are going well for the 2013 Tasmanian Title to be held on the March Long Weekend.

The sections have been identified and will soon be set. The access track has been upgraded with some additional gravel added.

There is still time to book your travel to Tas and enjoy 2 days riding in a magnificent venue.

SQTA held its first event for 2013 on Sunday and managed to dodge all the inclement weather thrashing around the South East once again but pleasantly keeping temps down for what turned out to be a perfect way to start another jamb packed year ahead.
