Aust X Trial Champs Kicks off in Perth

The Australian X Trial Championship kicks off in Perth this April at Baseball Park Thornlie. This exciting form of trial competition is well established in Europe and Moto Dynamics is proud to promote this format in Australia.

The championship will consist of two rounds, Friday night and Saturday night 10th & 11th of April. Eight riders will do battle over six sections and a race. Riders received invitations based on their result in the 2014 Australian Championships and plus wild card invitations. The riders who accepted the invitations for the 2015 X Trial Championship are, Kyle Middleton, Tim Coleman, Chris Bayles, Neil Price, Trevor Campbell, Sam King, Callum Barton and Brendon Smith.

This first Australian X Trial Championship event will provide fantastic up close and personal action for everyone. All riders will be keen to be the first Australian X Trial Champion in what is uncharted territory. WA local Neil Price who hasn't been off the podium since 2006 had a horrid 2014 Championship in Tasmania finishing sixth, so he is sure to be looking to re establish himself back on the podium. Kyle Middleton will been keen to maintain his No 1 status, while Tim Coleman and Chris Bayles will be looking to toss them both to the sharks. The scene is certainly set for a right royal battle and with no prior history of results in the X trial format, there is no doubt everyone will be wondering who will come out on top.

The event is family friendly priced, tickets are available from Ticketbooth, see links below for tickets, web site and social media. For those who can't attend, the event will be filmed and downloaded to you tube. You can follow the progress of the championship via the social media links below.

Written by Matt Langtree
Monday, 09 February 2015 20:40

Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to advise that rule change submissions for the 2016 Manual of Motorcycle Sport (MoMS) must be received by Friday 13th of March.

The Manual contains the General Competition Rules, which govern the participation and conduct of Motorcycle Sport in Australia. Changes are sometimes made to these rules to make competition easier or fairer, to reflect changes in technology or equipment, or to make the meaning of the rules clearer.

Clubs, State Controlling Bodies and individuals are welcome to submit suggestions for amendments to existing rules, and suggestions for the addition of new rules, to help make the sport better for our competitors.

Submissions must be completed on the official Rule Amendment or Inclusion Form and returned to Bronwyn Sorensen via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it no later than 13th March 2015 to be considered. Submissions will be forwarded to the relevant Commission for consideration.

To find out more about the Rule Change process or to submit feedback, please visit the MoMS section of the website.
