Hello,
We have tried a number of remedies and after the advise of a number of UK Specialists etc, have settled on EBC GROOVED Shoes For the Front and GENUINE STANDARD Honda Shoes for the Rear.
Definate improvement over other combinations we have tried.
Hope this helps.

One technique I have been told of but not seen is to get oversize linings fitted by a brake and clutch outfit, mount them to the brake plate and then use a lathe to machine them down to a close fit to the hub.

I've had mine relined with a sintered material that i'm told they use on fork lifts? there good in water & they feel strong to me!
