Yes and that seat weighs a lot too. The seat base is made of 3mm steel plate. I think it is a replica of a Metralla seat.
Have a look at the footpeg arrangement. Rider and passenger pegs are attached to opposite ends of a piece of 30mm x 6mm flat steel which is attached to the frame on the standard footpeg mounting.

I just noticed the original toolbox sitting there. That would be a useful thing to fit on the bike for trail riding.

Greg I have managed to get one of the kids portable DVD players to work so your M49 motivational DVD will be on its way very soon. I'm watching it now and it is a trial from 1970 at Byford, WA, but I have not heard them say what the trial is yet ie a WA title or an aussie title or maybe just a trial put on to publicise trials???? on the TV by the ABC. Whatever it is pretty good in a historical sense. All the OSSAs are the 230cc Plonker model. There are Bultaco M49s and M27s but no M10s, a Cota 247 of the first model ridden by the then current Aussie champ and a swag of pommy bikes - DOTs, Tiger Cubs, a Royal Enfield and a Sprite that goes very well.

Hi Everyone,

Ross, your bike was impressively complete when you got it and even better presented when I rode it, so it came with your high rise handlebars.

David, I like the colour scheme on your series 1, but something tells me it didn`t take too long for you to paint it. Just looking at your photo and motor in particular bought back an old memory. When I was going to school, a friend had a Bultaco for sale which he told me was a Trials bike and assured me that it went. Had no idea what a trials bike was, kickstarter on the left had me a little dumfounded, we took turns kicking it over, but it refused to go. On the plus side, all the esential things were all there and it had an aluminium tank. If it went, I was going to buy it as it was within Mum and Dads budget, he was only asking $100, really regret it now!

Jorja has just been assigned a new task of waiting by the letterbox in anticipation of the DVD`s arrival.

Page 14 already, suppose now would be a good time to reiterate why I started Basket Cases. It seemed like a good idea to list all of my incomplete bikes and offer surplus parts to people that needed them in exchange for parts that I need or make me an offer. Since then, parts have been sent to all the major states and I have picked up some things thought to be hard to find. Some people have posted replies, most have not, either way it is all good. Without a doubt, the phone conversations are always stimulating and enjoyable, so if you think I can help, call me on 02 66543444 or 0428789854.

Yes Greg it came with the high rise bars all I had to do was buy a new needle and needle jet and she was a good goer
New shocks and tyres came a bit later. As you know she has now been pulled down for a spruce up just hope she goes as good as she did before.

Hi Greg
Are you still sneaking up on riders with that quiet TY175 of yours.
It is great to see all the bike you have. I have just rebuilt a TL125 73-74 model for my wife to ride. I am looking for an engine sprocket cover as the one I have is broken and a carby insulator block as the one I have has chunks broken out of the outside stud holes.

I made my own side covers from ABS plastic and the inner rear guard also.
Check the before and after photos at https://public.me.com/tedmans03
IMG_800 shows sidecovers formed ready for mounting lugs and painting
IMG_795 shows inner rear guard made of same material
IMG_790 is what the TL125 looked like when I got it
IMG_812 is the completed bike.

Ebay is a great place for TL125 parts
Side Covers left and right
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HONDA-TL125- ... 4837wt_907

I purchased a front guard and side cover decals from England
Complete carby kit with all jets, needle set floats set mixture, idle screws and gaskets from Canada
S/H seat and new cover from the USA
Hydraulic clutch system from china just $42 landed works great
Rear tank mounts, side cover mounting grommets fuel tap assembly and air cleaner to carby snorkel from Thailand
Rear guard, tank stickers where sourced from the local bike shop from the MCS catalouge

If you can help with the engine sprocket cover it would finish the project off.
