WTC observers

Postby keithj » Wed May 09, 2012 8:50 pm

Hi folks - a quick update:

Col Smith has put together a roster from all the names he has been given.

He has emailed each observer on his list seeking final commitment for the chosen day.

There are a few cancellations coming back to him, so once he has made amendments the list will be published.

Thanks for your patience! :D

To Pauline the tough observer on section 4(?). After asking me to watch out for riders coming through near the end cards, she was knocked for 6 off her feet. I was there to stop her head cracking against the rock behind her for a 2nd time. I hope the headache wasnt too bad afterwards. You are my number 1 choice for Observer of the WTC!

A Big hand to all the Observers at the recent WTC event in Glorious Malden, a job well done in severe conditions
( ie Stepping on the fervent gardening that was going on ) Bloody humorous !! Not only where the riders overtly skillfull in there riding but there minders where ultra devious in section prep, a true master class all round

Well done to all the observers. Great stuff under a lotta pressure!

I'd rather be a D grade participant than an A grade spectator....

Wow! what a fantastic event and to be part of it all as an observer, Awesome!!
For the next one, can we please have more warning though, way to close to the date before being given any information. Would recommend an actual observer training day before the event also to boost confidence before the event.
Please someone do an Observer Training DVD that goes into detail.

Great week, so much work was done that we will never know about but it so worth it. Hi Five to all.
But the huge number of spectators did get in the way of my viewing :D
