Some updates on the Ty this week. managed to finish smoothing out the frame, and get it and the steering head painted.
Ive also got the brand new gaurd and steering head bearings, plus a whole lot more new parts coming over from the UK.
Ive sent the forks away for rechroming, and polished up the lower sections...they had so many deep scratches...many hours of sanding and polishing.

steering...
Front lower forks....

You do great work. Is the finish on the lower fork tubes just sanding, polishing and elbow grease? My RL needs a bit of that and I would like to know what you use.
Don't let competition get in the way of having fun.

yes sanded with 320, then 400 on a disc sander. then buffed on a buffing wheel...a sizal first, then a mop, then a finer wheel.

G'day,
Nice work on the TY. Is that a CB 626 lurking in the background?
Cheers,
Stork
